The Department of Physical and Energetic Sciences and Technologies was found in 1995 and nowadays it is included in the Department of Business Engineering; its objective is the research co-ordination and knowledge transfer in the field of physical and engineering industrial applications for energy conversion and use.
This interdisciplinary Department meets requirement of cultural aggregation between different university teachers and skill: Physics, Technical Physics, Fluid Machinery and Energy Systems in order to favour research interactions inside the department structures.
The research field of section of Fluid Machinery and Energy Systems (involved in this research programme) regards mainly:
* Innovative cycles with C02 removal
* Control, monitoring and diagnostics of energy systems
* Modelling of advanced energy systems
* Metal hydrides: innovative systems for energy “storage” and conversion.
